TLA 4L Grazing LLC Ranch Tour

TLA (Tallgrass Legacy Alliance) is holding the first of three 2020 Ranch Tours near Beaumont, Kansas on July 23rd. 

Updated information as of July 7, 2020:  

The TLA Summer Ranch Tour, rescheduled from an earlier March date, will be hosted by John Wagner and 4L Grazing LLC on July 23, 2020. 

Our host will be John Wagner of 4L Grazing, LLC and Pete Ferrell on the Ferrell Ranch. Due to concerns with the Covid-19 virus and the need for safety, we have decided to gather for lunch in the open under the shade trees in John’s yard.

We will gather at 11:30 a.m. at the ranch headquarters. Directions are below. 

At noon we will have a catered light lunch.

John will present a short Lunch & Learn introduction to 4L Grazing LLC. After lunch, we will procede via car pool to the tour location nearby.

Due to concerns with the Covid-19 virus, we will meet outside under the shade in John's yard. Bring your lawn chair.  

Directions to the ranch: 

                     From Beaumont; drive south for 5 miles until you come to the top of a hill where a set of triple feed bins set off to the right hand side and a red cattle guard with a “Ferrell Ranch”  sign is to the left. Turn left across the cattle guard. At this point, if anyone has a low- clearance vehicle I would recommend they park their car off to the side of the ranch road after they have crossed the cattle guard and carpool with someone else. From the red cattle guard , travel 2 miles east along the ranch road, you will pass a red roofed hay barn , and a low water creek crossing and come out near a Quonset hut, just before you come even with the Quonset, turn right and park in front of the Quonset hut and dog kennels. Our meeting place will be a short 150-yard walk from the parking area.

John Wagner will present a short session during lunch to introduce you to 4L Grazing, LLC.

After Lunch & Learn, we will carpool to the nearby ranch for the tour.
