Time: 3:00 PM - 7:00 PM
Location: Camp Kanza 10510 S. Sterling Rd. Abbyville, KS

Learn how to best manage wetlands during upcoming workshop

Are you tired of getting stuck in the wet spots in your field? Do you want to know more about managing your wetlands for wildlife? Join area biologists to talk about wetlands, how to manage them on your land, and program options available for doing wetland work in the region during the Wetland Management and Conservation Workshop. The workshop will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on March 5th at Camp Kanza (10510 S. Sterling Rd) in Abbyville, Kansas.

During the workshop, speakers from multiple organizations will share information on wetland programs and management options for anyone doing wetland work in the region. Landowners and producers will also have the opportunity to ask area biologists questions about wetlands.

The first session will address wetland programs for farmers. This will be followed by a social hour from 4:30 to 5:00 p.m. and then a second session focusing on wetland information for ranchers and recreational landowners. Participants are invited to drop in for one session or stay for the whole workshop.

The workshop is presented by Ducks Unlimited, Kansas Department of Wildlife Parks & Tourism, Kansas Prescribed Fire Council, Pheasants Forever, and USFWS Kansas Partners for Fish and Wildlife.
